Three Years Later & No Communication Between Union Officers and Company at Strike in Elkhart, Indiana of Conn-Selmer by UAW364

That message is really terrible right now after they have hurt so many that have been out there on strike since April 01, 2006.
Yes, UAW 364 is still out on strike almost 3 years later with no communication even thought of between union officers and the company Conn-Selmer. No more letters for scheduled talkings of contract negotiations, no meetings with the union personnel only to inform us to what is going on. Messina and Gettlefinger must both be crooks, the two biggest people in our mess that do not know how to negotiate. They do not follow their own rulings in the international lawbook.
We, 364 members were suppose to receive a food drive last Wednesday January 07,2008.
We got there and nothing was given to us, no word as to when but this was all our members spoke to us about way before Christmas. It was a union out of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
It has been a really hard and trying time for my brothers and sister. The struggle has become worst in the last 4 months as there are no jobs around now with the Big three problems, gas prices, rvindustry slump. BUT STILL UAW AND CONN-SELMER CAN IGNORE THAT WE ARE STILL OUT THERE. PLEASE AMERICA STOP BUYING THESE CHINESE SCAB MADE HORNS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO PUT 8 - 44 YEARS IN THEIR FACTORY BUILDING THOSE HORNS SO EVERYONE COULD MAKE THAT BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. PLEASE STOP PURCHASING ANY INSTRUMENTS THAT CONN-SELMER OR ANY OF IT'S COMPANIES MAKE AND LET'S SHOW THEM JOBS ARE NEEDED IN AMERICA NOT CHINA. VINCENT BACH WOULD ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE IF HE KNEW THIS WAS HAPPENING.
I wish to thank everyone who has helped in our strike. We the strikers of 364 appreciate if you would continue to do so. Please pass this information to anyone you know in the music field.
All teachers, band instructors or any musical organization in your town.
Happy New Year.

In April 2006 the Vincent Bach company which is owned by Steinway Musical Inc. forced 230 instrument makers who are members of UAW 364 on strike. The company demanded concessions on healthcare, benefits and other
conditions. They are also seeking to export the jobs to China in order to increase the profits. The owners including CEO Dana Messina is a stock manipulator (he was one of Milkin's boys) and he along with other owners sold
some of their stock just before the strike began.
The company has hired 130 replacement workers (scabs) and is seeking to starve the workers out. This video is about these workers and why they need support for their struggle.
Ron Gettelfinger and ask him to support bucket collections for these strikers at every UAW auto plant in the country. His number is 313-926-5000.
Contact UAW 3 Regional Director Mo Davison and ask him why he and the UAW are not doing more to support these workers. His phone number is 317-547-0614. Also call UAW President Ron Gettelfinger. His number
is 313-926-5000.
