Dear PASNAP Members and Friends,

The PASNAP members of the Temple University Nurses and Healthcare Professionals remain strong in continuing their strike, begun March 31, against Temple University Hospital. Members remain committed to improving patient safety and raising the bar on union rights.

As of this week, the majority of these workers will receive their last paycheck. PASNAP cannot provide wage replacement strike benefits. Many members have little or no outside income, and are the sole support of their families. We know many of you have already stepped in to do what you can to provide assistance, and we deeply thank you.

It’s not easy for most of our members to ask others for help, especially when their work of choice is to help others. But, we must come to you and humbly request your continuing or first time support. If you have been considering supporting the outstanding workers who have served this community, some for over 30 years, please act now.

Thank you in advance for anything you can do to help. Monetary donations are the most helpful, and can be made by going to http://templewatch.org and clicking on the “DONATE” button in the top right. The following list may help if you consider donating goods instead:

DIAPERS (all sizes especially 5 & 6)
WIPES
KID SNACKS
FRUIT and VEGGIES
JUICE BOXES
NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS
BATH SOAP
DISH SOAP
LAUNDRY SOAP
SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
