Get on the New Haven Labor Council Bus to New York
The NYPD’s stop-and-frisk program is ineffective and out of control. In 2011, NYPD officers conducted 685,724 street stops, six times as many as during Mayor Bloomberg’s first year in office. Supposedly they are looking for guns, but no guns are being found in 99.9 percent of the stops. And you know who is being targeted....Blacks and Latinos.
Protest. Come to New York on the Greater New Haven Central Labor Council bus to the rally and silent march.
Leaving Central Labor Council headquarters, 267 Chapel St. 10 a.m. Sunday, June 17, returning after the march.
