Congratulations on your resolution on Palestine/BDS!
Dear Connecticut AFL-CIO,
ON BEHALF OF the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation -- a coalition of several hundred organizations nationwide working to end all forms of U.S. support for Israel's occupation and apartheid policies to achieve freedom, justice, and equality for the Palestinian people -- I wanted to congratulate you on your courageous resolution in support of the Palestinian workers and BDS. I can only imagine the type of backlash you are up against, and I wanted you to know just how many of us stand behind you! When the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America endorsed BDS, we solicited thank-you signatures and got many thousand, representing more than 40 organizations from more than 50 countries worldwide. I'm sure each one of them would stand with you, and many more.
Please let me know if there is any type of support we might be able to offer you, especially given the nasty tactics of those defending Israeli oppression. They know, just like us, that this was a watershed vote that reaches far and wide. Congratulations and thank you for standing the right side of history.
