Mexico "CNTE" national executive committee member and teacher Guadalupe Ibeth Luquin Montaño came to San Francisco on July 11, 2016 and made a report to some members of the San Francisco Labor Council. Later she spoke to the entire SFLC and a resolution was passed calling for the release of unionists from prison, an end to the repression and a halt to all US arms being sent to Mexico until the repression ends. It also pointed out that this is the result of NAFTA
policies in Mexico which is pushing privatization of the entire country.
Interpreting was by Lisa Milos who is a member Of CWA UPTE UCSF
The visit was sponsored by Labor Council For Latin American Advancement Sacramento, Laborfest.net and UPWA.info
