American Postal Workers Union Executive Board
Opposes War with Iraq

THE NATIONAL Executive Board of the American Postal Workers Union voted at its meeting January 14, 2003 to oppose the war with Iraq. The resolution states:

"The APWU National Executive Board opposes the pending war with Iraq.

"This declaration is based on the information made available to the American public at this time. We abhor terrorism, and we endorse all action-diplomatic and military to appropriately respond to acts of agression. However, pre-emptive attacks against sovereign states are not consistent with the principles of freedom and respect for all people."
