Phone Banking for Labor Contingent in Sunday, February 16th march against the war.

WE NEED YOUR HELP
-- to get out a biggest-ever-in-recent-memory LABOR CONTINGENT, which will assemble beginning 10:30 a.m. at Folsom and Spear Streets, San Francisco. There will be a LABOR RALLY at the assembly point from 11:00 a.m. after which we will march up to Market Street to join the main march. The ILWU Drill Team will lead the Labor Contingent. Local 6 Bike Messengers will also perform.

So we're asking you to do THREE THINGS:

1. PHONE BANK with us at the San Francisco Labor Council-1188 Franklin St (at Geary),SF - Room 203
**Tuesday, Feb. 11th - 5 pm - 8 pm
**Thursday, Feb. 13th - 5 pm - 8 pm
Phone banking is a must to get out the activists who will organize their union's people to come to the labor contingent.

Or Call SEIU 250 in Oakland at 510-251-1250 (ask for Fred or Laura) to find out when there will be phone banking from their office at 560-20th St (between San Pablo & Telegraph)

2. ORGANIZE your stewards, officers, delegates and rank and file at each workplace to be part of the Labor Contingent and march with us on Sunday Feb 16th.

** PICK UP FLYERS AND  3X5 CARDS  at the SF Labor Council or SEIU 250  to distribute, post and hand to your friends and coworkers. (Call SF Labor Council 415-440-4809 for information about other literature drop-off points).

** MAKE SIGNS & BANNERS FOR THE MARCH

** ARRANGE TO BRING YOUR UNION'S BANNER TO THE MARCH

**Organize your people to wear union colors, jackets, tee shirts, caps -- and MARCH TOGETHER -- AS PART OF THE LABOR CONTINGENT. (not just any old place in the march)

3. SHOW UP AT 10:30 A.M. ON SUNDAY AT FOLSOM AND SPEAR, ready to march against the war.

Dave Welsh

Note: There will be a press conference for the Labor Contingent on Thursday, Feb. 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the SF Labor Council, 1188 Franklin (at Geary), Room 203.
