Opposes War with Iraq
THE NATIONAL Executive Board of the American Postal Workers Union voted at
its meeting January 14, 2003 to oppose the war with Iraq. The resolution
states:
"The APWU National Executive Board opposes the pending war with Iraq.
"This declaration is based on the information made available to the American
public at this time. We abhor terrorism, and we endorse all
action-diplomatic and military to appropriately respond to acts of
agression. However, pre-emptive attacks against sovereign states are not
consistent with the principles of freedom and respect for all people."
