Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Labor Movement,

On June 23-25 in Sacramento, the Bush Administration and agribusiness
corporations are hosting a conference and technology expo with trade and
agriculture ministers from over 170 countries around the world.  We at
the Sacramento Central Labor Council have endorsed a broad-based counter
mobilization to protest corporate agriculture, industrial food
production, and free trade policies that are undermining workers'
rights, destroying sustainable family agriculture, and harming the
health of farm workers and industrial workers here in California and
 around the world.

Please join us for five days of education and action to promote our
agenda of safe sustainable communities, healthy food, workers' rights,
sustainable agriculture and fair trade. Please endorse our mobilization,
send out the attached call to action and list of events to your members,
and send a delegation with your banner to our mass rally and march next
Monday, June 23, 10am at the Capitol in Sacramento.

Now, more than ever, a united global movement for social, economic and
environmental justice is needed in the fight for a democratic economic
system that improves, instead of erodes, the well being of workers and
communities.  Brothers and sisters representing mass movements in
Southeast Asia, South America, Africa, and North America will be joining
us in Sacramento.  We hope that the Labor Movement in California will
also have a strong showing.  Please do all you can in the next week to
 spread the word.

Please let Teresa Villasenor from our office know if you can
participate. We would like our labor delegation to march together. If
you have any questions, please call me at 916-927-9772.  We'll see you
 in the streets of Sacramento!

 In Solidarity,

 Bill Camp
 Executive Secretary
 Sacramento Central Labor Council
