Hotel Workers. SF, 8/13/2004

Thousands of San Francisco hotel workers left their jobs and took to the streets in a mass rally. The hotel bosses want to eliminate the Kaiser Healthcare Plan and also seek to prevent many part time hotel and restaurant workers from receiving healthcare. Their contract expires on 8/14/04. UNITE-HERE Local 2 has yet to take a strike vote.
